OPEN-MESH
TEFLON® BELTING
Open mesh Teflon® PTFE impregnated fiberglass belting
is available in brown or with a black U.V. block coating in widths
up to 118" and any length. The fluorocarbon resins used
in the curing process are chemically inert, and the woven glass
substrate provides exceptional strength and dimensional stability.
Its non-stick surface, operating temperature range from -100°F
to +550°F and the 70% open area makes this belting the perfect
solution for many drying applications such as: |
|
- Conveyorized screen print dryers
- Conveyorized belts for drying textiles
- Conveyorized belts for side and base sealing auto pack machines
- Conveyorized belts for resoldering and ink drying cable braiding

SILICONE/GLASS BELTING
Fabricated out of our Silicone/Glass fabric this belting is
available in white or red, coated one or both sides, in widths
up to 36" and any length. It provides excellent release
properties, high dielectric strength, wear and flexing resistance
and high chemical resistance. The operating temperature range
is from -100°F to +500°F. The non-toxic, tasteless and
odorless qualities of the coating make it appropriate for use
in food handling operations, as well as, other applications such
as: |
|
- Conveyorized shrink tunnels
- Conveyor quick freeze chambers
- Mid-temperature process conveyors

SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION OPTIONS
Edge Reinforcement
For the many applications that require edge protection, GBI can
heat seal and/or sew a reinforcement strip of fabric or film
to one or both edges of our belts. This not only protects the
edges from wear and abrasion but also serves as an anchor for
tracking aids.
Splice Protection
GBI can heat seal and/or sew a cover flap over the Alligator/Clipper
splice. This prevents the metal lacing from contacting the product
being conveyed and provides a continuous release surface.
Tracking And Guiding
GBI belts can be supplied with guiding pins, grommets or silicone
tracking guides on one or both edges. This helps assure accurate
tracking and promotes increased belt performance. The pins and
silicone tracking guides are designed to fit into the grooves
cut into the pulleys. |
|
|
DRIVING
All GBI belts are best driven by metal rollers. For large
belts we recommend lagging the drive rollers with soft rubber.
To assure best performance, belt tension should be kept to a
minimum.
