Product Description |
|
DuraStick® UHMW-PE
Tape Series is natural (opaque) in color and is produced from
an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. These tapes are
manufactured by applying a rubber adhesive* to an UHMW-PE film
and are excellent for applications involving surface wear. Additionally,
their excellent anti-stick, reduced friction and noise-reduction
properties make them ideal for mechanical applications such as
chute linings, conveyor systems and guide rail applications.
* Acrylic adhesive is available upon special
request.

DuraStick® UHMW-PE Tape Characteristics |
|
DuraStick® PTFE Coated Tapes are engineered to retain the
distinctive properties of PTFE; however, by adding a glass fabric
to the matrix, AFC is able to obtain the added benefits of dimensional
stability, durability, excellent tensile strength, and extremely
low elongation (<1%). The addition of an adhesive on one side
eliminates the need for mechanical fastening. These tapes have
received USDA approval for food processing and handling, and
are FDA compliant (21 CFR177.1550). Tapes with silicone adhesive
operate over a wide temperature range, -100°F to 500°F
(-73°C to 260°C), while tapes with acrylic adhesive operate
over a narrower range of temperatures, -40°F to 350°F
(-40°C to 177°C).
